Our Foray into Analytics Recruitment
The company was conceived in the year 2009 in Mumbai and has been growing strong ever since. The focus is towards strategic hiring for the IT Industry.
Recruiting as a discipline has been in a constant stage of evolution especially in the Technology space.
In our earlier years, like any other recruitment firm, we were immersed in doing searches for Technical Architects (Java/J2ee/.Net), ETL consultants, Cognos Consultants, SAP Consultants etc…the usual technology stack which was prevalent at the time which consumed all of our energies.
In early 2011, I was given a senior position in the “Analytics” domain & I was not sure I understood exactly what the requirement was? I requested the hiring manager to meet me & give me a download on the exact requirement.
During our meeting terms like “data analytics” “customer analytics” “customer churn” “fraud analytics” “regression analysis” kept falling on my ears and I went into a tizzy. Considering that I come from a “technical background, the hiring managers usually do not feel the need to get into micro details with me and thats the value I bring to the table for them. But this was a game changer in the Technology landscape, I realized. The passion with which he was jabbering away (pardon my language here), made me sit up and participate in as much eagerness even though I did not understand anything. When I left from the meeting, I could not wait to reach my office and smash away the keywords in “Google” and try to make as much sense as possible. During the week, all I could think was Analytics and at the end of it, I felt confident of getting away with a one hour session on the subject to fresh engineering graduates J at least.
So that was the day and its now been 3 years where 50% of positions that me and my team do is in the Analytics space.
We do work across Business Analytics viz. Customer Analytics, Banking & Financial Services Analytics, Insurance Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, Retail Analytics, Manufacturing Analytics.
The year 2015 has kicked off in a big way to Big Data Analytics and that is yet another milestone for companies to combine all the internal structured business data (CRM, ERP, POS and all the internal system data) and external unstructured data ( Social media data, feedback surveys, Audios, Videos, streaming data, Call center data, images) and generate smart analytics . (He! He!..I am back to Googling my way into understanding the Big Data terminologies)
Even though, we are at a nascent stage, we are doing some great work in the Big Data space searching for Hadoop Architects, SAP HANA – Sales , Chief Analytics officer, Data Scientists etc.
