They are incubated at the Indian Institute of Science, India’s premier research institute.
Their first set of high capacity satellites are scheduled to be launched in 2019. They will form a mini-constellation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and start providing regular, yet reliable, broadband connectivity. A year later, in 2020, a lot more satellites will enter LEO and form a full fledged constellation of high capacity satellites, guaranteeing continuous and reliable broadband connectivity to users on earth.
Bellatrix Aerospace is a private R&D organisation specialising in the field of Rocket & Aircraft Propulsion, In-Space Propulsion, Defense and Energy sector Bellatrix Aerospace is developing innovative technologies to provide affordable access to space with varied interests in orbital launch vehicles, deep space exploration, in-space propulsion systems, satellite construction and avionics.
The company has designed and developed 2 types of Electric Propulsion Thrusters for Nano and Medium sized satellite platforms Bellatrix Aerospace also develops and manufactures indigenous technologies for the future defence industry/armed forces, specializing in unmanned aerial and ground vehicles which incorporate state of the art artificial intelligence systems.
Dhruva Space is a private space company based in India established in the year 2012 to lead the turnkey spacecraft development private industry in India. We have signed an MoU to develop the followup mission to HAMSAT-1 launched in 2005 by ISRO and are currently working towards the establishment of an AIT for microsatellites in Bengaluru. We work closely with local industry and are continuously working towards capacity building and nurturing local talent for supporting the Indian Space Program.

Team Indus is a for-profit organisation headquartered in Bangalore, India. The team is led by Rahul Narayan, a Delhi-based IT professional. The team of professionals from various backgrounds science, technology, finance and media is the only Indian team leading the charge of India to win the Google Lunar X Prize mission announced in year 2007. The mission often referred to as “Moon 2.0” is a challenge that calls for participating teams to design and land a robot on the Moon. The Robot is required to travel more than 500 meters on the lunar surface and send feedback to earth.
The deadline of the competition is December 31, 2017. The Indian entrant – TeamIndus will be competing against 29 teams from 17 countries to win the US$20 million grand prize and additional prize worth US$5 million.
