Entrepreneurship sounds really fancy, however, the road to becoming an entrepreneur is really tough — challenges come as add-ons. And given these challenges, many lack guidance and assistance and also get confused about how to get started on the journey set up a company.

IIM Kozhikode – LIVE

Started out in June 2016, IIMK – LIVE is a business incubator and entrepreneurship development centre of IIM Kozhikode. Backed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, the centre is completely focused on creating a National Centre of Excellence that promotes innovation, new business venturing and entrepreneurship. An on-campus Incubator, LIVE seeks to emerge as a collaborative platform that helps transform innovative ideas into business ventures that make a significant economic and social impact.

At present, IIMK-LIVE is actively accepting applications for:

5 Day  Entrepreneurship Development Program in Business Venture Management: During this 5 day program, everyday there will be 6 Hrs of teaching session and each session will be of 1.5Hr duration.

Who can attend?

  • Early stage product startups from Kerala
  • Incorporated as LLP or Pvt. Ltd
  • Who has got selection for Idea grant or K-Launchpad Program
  • Incubated under any incubator in Kerala
  • Idea Grant recipients

Business Incubation Program June 2019: Unlike the other program, this incubation program is open to any entrepreneur/Start-up and is not restricted to the ones promoted by IIMK students/ alumni/ faculty members.

Arise 2019: Launchpad For Agri-Startups (Pusa Krishi Incubator)

Powered by RKVY-RAFTAAR Scheme of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India, ARISE 2019 is a Launchpad for Agri-Startups and is an initiative of Pusa Krishi Incubator. The program is designed in such a way that specifically help early-stage Agri-startups in the field of agribusiness.

ARISE 2019 is a two-phase Incubation program:

  • Idea to Product Prototype (Early-stage product development)

India Accelerator – S2019 Program

Another one of the most sought after accelerator program is India Accelerator’s S2019. The program is spread over 4 months where 5-10 selected start-ups will be provided with technology, business services and incubation space along with intense mentoring. The program is not just about mentoring, but startups also receive INR 15 Lakhs to INR 25 Lakhs in perks and services, with the potential to score follow-on funding after the demo day. Also, the incubated startups receive large amounts of external perks from 200+ GAN partners.

Talking about the application process, the deadline was 31st January 2019. However, the Indian Accelerator is may accept applications after the deadline in exceptional cases. So, there is no loss giving it a try.

BLS Acceleration Program Cohort 1

Started out in 2018, BLS Accelerator helps passionate entrepreneurs grow their startups into strong, scalable, and successful companies. Through its accelerator and market access programs curated for both local and international startups, the accelerator not mentors startups but also help them with
the business model, product development, marketing strategy, global market access, and funding.

TLabs

Founded in 2011, TLabs is a startup accelerator that helps budding Indian internet and mobile technology startups with an early stage seed-fund. Having well-renowned and experienced entrepreneurs as mentors, TLabs is one of the most popular accelerators in the country.

The accelerator program at TLabs is spread over 16 weeks and is divided into 4 phases:

  • Hypothesis Development ( 1-2 Weeks )
  • Deep Validation (3-8 weeks)
  • Strategic direction + Traction (9-13 weeks)
  • Business and Financial Planning (14-16 weeks)

Talking about the application part, the accelerator has not yet released any date. However, you can connect to their Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages to stay updated.

T-Hub

Incorporated in Hyderabad, India in 2015, T-Hub is among the world’s leading startup engines incubates technology startups. The company has recently announced the start of call for applications for the second batch of Lab32, a comprehensive incubation program, tailor-made for early-stage tech product startups. The first batch of Lab32 of 70 startups is graduating in April 2019 and the company is going to start its 2nd batch on 1 May 2019.

The Applications started on 18 February 2019 and it will close on 8 April 2019..

The minimum eligibility criteria of the programme is the following that the early-stage tech product startups should have:

  • Initial market traction
  • An exceptional founding team
  • Seed funding, series A funding or bootstrapped
  • Solution for, but not limited to, healthcare, finance, education, smart mobility, sustainability, social impact, and smart cities, using technology like artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, augmented reality/virtual reality/extended reality, blockchain etc.
  • Commitment to work from T-Hub facility full time for 6 months or more
